You must be a college graduate with plans to pursue a postgraduate degree to become a Community-Based Counselor
While it's not necessary to have a psychology degree to get into a counseling or therapy graduate program, many schools will require certain prerequisite courses like human development, behavioral disorders, or introduction to psychology. In some cases, you may need to take additional classes before beginning on your master's degree.
Our Community-Based Counselors must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program. They provide child, adult, marriage, and family counseling services in people’s homes while they are able to fulfill the requirements of their degree program for supervised hours of therapy.
Our Community-Based Counselors are paid a competitive wage in both full time and part time capacities.
Our Community-Based Counselors are assigned a caseload based on their capacities and abilities.
