Dr. Hoistad received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1970, an M.A. in Developmental Psychology in 1974 and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1975 from the California School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Hoistad is a licensed psychologist in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. His clinical practice includes consultation in behavioral health, family practice medicine, pre-surgery psychological evaluations, court consultation, school consultation, social service consultation, as well as teaching and supervision of psychology interns. Clinical psychologist, Dr. Nicole Ward, will be providing psychological evaluations at our Maplewood, Stillwater and Hudson clinics.
As a licensed psychologist in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Dr. Ward brings a warm and relational demeanor to her work providing psychological evaluations to her clients. She earned her bachelor’s degree in child psychology from the University of Minnesota, followed by a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology – both from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology, Argosy University-Twin Cities. As part of her doctoral training, Dr. Ward completed practicum experiences at the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatric Psychology, and at a private practice. Anna is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Psychology in Counseling Psychology at Saint Mary’s University and will be working under the supervision of Dr. N. Ward. Anna provides diagnostic and psychological assessments, cognitive and social-emotional testing, individual and family therapy, and psycho-education to children, adolescents, adults and families. Anna is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which allows her to provide services to children and adolescents struggling in the aftermath of trauma. Anna’s additional clinical interests include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting, and multicultural issues. Anna is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian, and as an immigrant herself enjoys working with diverse populations. Learn More >
