Smriti Shrestha obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from St. Cloud State University with a major focus on advocacy and policymaking. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Kathmandu University, Nepal. She has six years of experience as a social work practitioner both in Nepal and the United States. Smriti’s previous experience includes working with children, women, and marginalized communities in settings such as schools, government, non-profit, and administrative. She believes in the power of human relationships and the beauty of human connections which is reflected in her work style and the service that she will be providing. Smriti uses an integrative approach and uses people-centered and strength-based approaches in her practice. With her ability of empathetic listening and years of practice in social work, Smriti can offer therapy and provide mental health and community-based care and support to clients. Outside of work, Smriti enjoys traveling and writing.
