Nicholas Woodruff is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Massachusetts who has been practicing since 2023. He acquired his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern University in Boston and has also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychological Sciences from Carleton College in Northfield. Nicholas primarily has experience working with adults struggling with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. He has also worked with adolescents and families struggling with executive dysfunction in clinical settings. Nicholas makes use of a holistic approach when considering the goals and needs of his clients and uses a mix of CBT and narrative counseling to assist in this process. Nicholas offers a comprehensive understanding of the most recent psychological research on counseling. Nicholas primarily makes use of a psychoeducational approach to better help his clients understand how their mind, body, and actions are connected. Nicholas is avid enjoyer of the visual arts. In particular, he is a fan of modern and post-modern painting such as the works of Edward Hopper. Nicholas also partakes in table-top role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons in his free time.
