John is a Minnesota Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He joined Family Innovations in 2008 and currently provides both out-patient counseling services in the Anoka office and serves as a clinical supervisor for a team of home-based mental health practitioners. John earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Bethel University and his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University. He has completed Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training and often utilizes TF-CBT to help individuals who have experienced trauma. He also draws from years of Play Therapy experience, which is often helpful for younger children to express and process their experiences; he is currently pursuing certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). ┬áJohn utilizes strength-based, solution-focused and narrative approaches to therapy.
