Dr. Joel Schirvar is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist in Minnesota who has been practicing since 1995. He completed a Two-Year Fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Department of Neurology, Division of Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic, a Doctoral internship at Minneapolis Veterans Administration Medical Center, and a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology with Child and Family specialty from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Schirvar offers twenty-eight years of experience providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation in diverse clinical settings for children and young adults ages 2 to 20 years with complex diagnostic presentations often including comorbid disorders of developmental, learning, neurological, and psychiatric ideology. He has extensive experience with various populations displaying multiple complex psychiatric symptoms including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, extreme emotional and behavioral dysregulation, Fetal Alcohol Effects, emerging psychotic symptoms, concussion/mild TBI, substance abuse, Internet addiction, etc. Outside of work, Dr. Schirvar enjoys the restoration of antiques and Victorian home and outdoor activities including fishing, camping, hiking, boating, biking, etc.
