Anna Velikanova

Anna completed her Masters of Science Degree in Forensic Psychology at Arizona State University and is pursuing licensure to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has over two years of experience in adult and adolescent psychiatry, working with wide spectrum of mental health disorders and symptoms – she is excited to transfer her skills to an outpatient setting! Her previous experience also includes community outreach in the Minneapolis- Saint Paul metro area, specifically with those experiencing homelessness or living with substances use disorders . Anna uses a holistic, person-centered
approach, understanding the importance of evidence-based practices while also focusing on the individual’s mind, body, soul and environment. Anna’s background in community and inpatients settings, combined with her Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Criminology and Political science from the University of Minnesota- Duluth, provides her with a deep understanding of systems and how they impact an individual’s mental health. In her free time Anna enjoys spending time with her dog (Hazel), and her bearded dragon(Helga), as well as reading, enjoying nature, trying new foods, traveling, learning new hobbies, shopping locally, spending time with her family and friends, and giving back to her community.
