Family Innovations provides opportunities for graduate students to have a clinical internship/practicum within our community-based program. This experience is for students pursuing a master’s degree in a mental health-related field.
We offer internship/practicum opportunities with various start dates throughout the year to coincide with the internship requirements of various graduate school programs.
Family Innovations’ internship experience provides you with the opportunity to shadow Mental Health Practitioners that are providing home-based services. Interns will learn to provide home-based skills training, as well as, learn to write diagnostic assessments and provide home-based psychotherapy. Interns occasionally also shadow Mental Health Professionals who are providing outpatient services.
Students will carry a small caseload of home-based clients when they have established both competency and willingness to serve in the home-based therapy capacity.
