Your care matters!We have options.

Family Innovations, Inc. believes that it is vital to continue to meet the mental health needs of our clients in this ever-changing and uncertain time. The COVID-19 virus, also known as the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, is having profound effects on our nation and its most vulnerable citizens. The health and well-being of both Family Innovations staff and our clients is our priority. We will continue to monitor the status of the COVID-19 virus and its impact, and adjust plans accordingly, as guidance is shared from federal and state authorities.

In-person outpatient offices will be opening on Monday, June 1st, with home-based services available Monday, June 8th. We will continue to offer outpatient and home-based appointments both in-person and virtually:

A few things to note, in order to maintain social distance, and prevent congestion in our waiting rooms, you are welcome to call our front desk from your vehicle when you arrive. Front desk staff will notify your therapist and call you back when your therapist is available for your appointment.

Protective barriers are in place at all front desks. Hand sanitizer is available – please use this, or wash your hands in an available restroom prior to seeing your therapist. Your therapist will practice social distancing during your appointment. Our office waiting rooms, therapy offices, and restrooms will be sanitized continually throughout the day.

Some simple things we can all do to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus:

*If you have COVID-19 symptoms of dry cough, fever or shortness of breath, please reschedule by calling 612-924-3807 or request a tele-mental-health appointment (online therapy session) as most insurances offer coverage

  • If you have traveled internationally recently please ask for a tele-mental-health appointment
  • Follow appropriate precautions; use of hand sanitizer, proper handwashing per CDC guidelines
  • If you are elderly or have pre-existing medical conditions (especially respiratory-related) please utilize tele-mental-health or reschedule

If you need to cancel your appointment, whether in-person, in-home, or via tele-mental health please do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment

Family Innovations is equipped to offer tele-mental-health services through a HIPAA compliant platform that will allow our clients if they are unable to attend their appointments to have a virtual visit via their smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. All Family Innovations therapists are equipped to offer this service. Learn more about virtual or online therapy here. If you are not sure if this service is covered by your provider, please call your insurance company (the number is on the back of your insurance card) and request Tele-mental health.
